Hi and welcome to your Show and Tell section. I thought it would be a great idea to give everyone that frequents
our site a chance to post a picture and a story of your own. Just click the 'Add an item' link and
fill in the fields.
I would love to see what you have been up to as much as as I hope you like seeing what I'm doing.
The Ashford Kids
I should have mentioned that the previous photo was taken in Rockford's Stonewallers' Cellar in the Barossa Valley.
The one below is the only photo I can find of the villa we are going to stay at in Tuscany, called L'Oliveta. I wish it was bigger, because then not only would it look good on the digital photo frame, it would be my backdrop at work. But alas, this is the best I can find on the whole interweb.
I've been having a fun time trying to get photos off my iPhone and into the real world. In the process, I've found some gems taken on my iPhone camera a long time ago. I think this dates from my trip to Adelaide in February, and was designed to make Daniel jealous. My focus was already off, and we hadn't gotten to Melton yet (where I have a less attractive photo of a savourty tart).
My Favourite Mate
Thought you might like to see some pics of me with my absolutely favourite 'friend' Molly....
Now if you or Anna or anyone had of said 10years ago I would 'fall in love' with a cow, I would've laughed in your face....
I also included a pic of Stella the other cow but Molly is my fav - I just adore her....
I'm sure you find these entertaining....this is taken on the property.
Hope your day is ok.
Cheers Lu :)
Last but not least, this is Hayley. my second daughter. I didn't realize how long she was absent from "Show and Tell" until I checked the date Kendall's pic went up. Kendall is now almost 21 and Hayley is 19. She is the mother of my granddaughter, Nyla. She works for Telus Mobility and lives in Surrey, BC.
Canadian Cheese Girl
This is Kendall, the eldest of the lot. She is 19 and even prettier in person. She has recently left the nest for her first live-in arrangement (which is giving me FITS). She has a bright future in telemarketing - NOT! She has the distinction of being one of the first people in recorded history to exist solely on cheese.
Now this is a fire. The hollow log will burn like this for hours.
O Christmas Tree
It's only taken me three days to figure out how to get pictures off my camera and onto my Mum's PC. Having failed with USB keys and PCMCIA card readers, I finally resorted to that pinnacle of technology, the floppy disk.
Anyway, this is how I spent Saturday afternoon. Pretty, isn't it? It looks even better now because it has PRESENTS under it. But you'll have to wait until this evening for a photo of them.
Only 5 (?) sleeps to go.
I took refuge in the car while this blew over, then spent an hour trekking inland to retrieve my tent.
Overlander 4WD Moreton Island trip. 4 days, 22 people, 7 4wd's. AWESOME.
Brendan snores... Brendan doesn't sleep in the tent...
An unbelievable sight!
Keeping the page fresh
Is there a better sight?? The sun dawning on a sandy piece of paradise.
Canadian Bishop Mark IV
This is the youngest of my flock, Brianne. In addition to being of Brit ancestry from my father's side, she is also a treaty-card-carrying First Nations Cree from the LaRonge band in Saskatchewan (or Saskabush, as any Canuck who is NOT from there refers to it). She is 10 years old and her passions include Bratz dolls and cluttering up her room with cardboard boxes of all descriptions. These are meant as future craft projects, but ultimately become fodder for my periodic cleaning frenzies. (Shades of Deb?)
Told him he wouldn't make it up there. But he didn't listen. This is somewhere north of Narangba at a place called 'A Bridge to Nowhere'.
Inroducing The Canadian Bishops (One at a time)
This is my son, Blaine. He is 14 years old (as of Dec 27th) and his main function in life is to make the lives of his three sistes, particularly the younger one, as unpleasant as possible. His hobbies include skateboarding, PS2, and asking disconcerting questions at inopportune moments. Oh yes, he's also about 188cm tall, which is quite noteworthy, considering that he weighs only 56kg. I'm sure he'll fill out in time.
One of Bribie Islands fresh water lakes. A nice place to stop for lunch, a coldie, a dip and a hike on the inland walking track to see some old world war two forts.(numbering approx. 80)
