Just a place for my old thoughts

Getting there...

Slowing getting the whole site over to the new format. The albums are going to be a complete nightmare given they are in some very very old code that I picked up years ago.

It has been a quietly frustrating week. My boss Jason has been OS on business and I have been trying to create a piece of code using a language that I am not familiar with to do something that it was not really designed to to. But I think I might have cracked it.

The weekend is looking like a catch-up with Dad on Saturday and then lunch at the German Club on Sunday...PORK KNUCKLE!

You know, I kind of like it.

A month or so ago I headed out to by myself a quilt cover. I honestly can't remember if I have ever actually purchased one for myself.

So, I got to purchase a lovely 'manly' cover that all the sales assistants at the shop absolutely approved of. It is grey, with lines and a nice 'manly' cream interior. So I was pleased...as was Furrgus.

I have to say I keep thinking a little of that aesthetic as I move to redesign this site. I have deliberately kept the design and layout SUPER SUPER simple.

I am sure I will get board quickly but hey.

A Friday not unlike every other

Well, today would have been my 16th wedding anniversary. That was a strange realisation when I got an alert last night at 11:45pm.

I have been using MeetUp.com to find new things and stop myself from sitting at home. Last night was a spur of the moment booking for dinner at a local restaurant. It was good although, unlike the one I went too on Saturday night, there were a few awkward silences. All up though a nice way to spend Thursday night.

Time to dust off ye'olde website

You will hopefully see a few changes across the site over the next few months. Mostly I am actually going to be posting something which I am sure will thrill you all no end.

Over the years with the restaurant and then facebook the need to post here was not really very great, so it has taken a back seat for a very long time.

Well (hopefully) no more. Time to dust off the coding skills, roll up the sleeves and see if we can update this sucker to something that won't run on IE6. [Tech people will get that joke]
