Just a place for my old thoughts
A very quick post

I thought I would just put up a very quick post to let you know that we are still here. The trip to Brisbane was great and taking an extra day either side of the weekend makes SUCH a difference to getting to spend time with everyone. We didn't feel like we were just flying in, eating seafood, and flying out.
Thursday night we got in quite late but Serena picked us up from the airport and we went for a coffee to chat. It is so very very strange to spend so much time running TeamSpeak with her right there in my head. I keep thinking that we should all finish up playing WoW at the end of the day and go our for Thai food. Then I remember that she is 2000kms away. Oh well.
Friday we took a quick run out to get Wayne an esky for his birthday and then went with JT back to her house and out for dinner with Jason. I have been running such a sleep debt for so long that by midnight I was a wreck so we headed back to JT's place and to sleep.
Saturday we went back to Mum's and went to get seafood. A big Alvers lunch later and we just sat on the balcony watching the evening grow long.
Sunday was spent with Serena driving around various suburbs in Brisbane. We are really starting to think about moving back to Brisbane once we get over things here in Melbourne. There were some really really nice places but the potential prices scared me a bit. It wasn't till I got back to Melbourne and Deb checked the actual pricing that we realised that it may be quite doable to move up and get a nice place.
Since then it has just been work and hassles. I'll leave it to Deb to tell you how her projects are going and school now that it has started.
On the upside I did manage to surprise Deb with dinner, chocolates and a rose on Valentines Day so I felt I had got, at least a little, up on her.

I can't believe that we are in February already. It feels like forever since I put up a post, and having checked the dates, I think it has been.
It was great having Jan here but it seemed so very very quick. She absolutely indulged my geek nature by letting me work on the computer into the evening while Deb and she talked. Thanks Jan!!!
On that subject the new PC is a thing of beauty and light. Not that I have been able to get very close to it, Deb has adopted it as her own. It will be a couple of months until I can we can get her a laptop so that I can finally get to play WoW using a decent monitor and graphics card. Oh will *sigh*
On the home front the yard has been suffering huge neglect as we spend most of our free hours running round a virtual world beating things up. On the plus side we have started running special missions, called Instances, with Deb, Serena and myself. So far we have been doing pretty well and we are getting used to taking a good mix of characters on each run. It is great fun...and very addictive.
I came back from my YLT conference last Tuesday and was straight into work. It has been pretty tough because we have some *stuff* happening at work at the moment that is chewing up all my available time. It is keeping me away from focusing on the things I should really be doing. I hope to have it resolved shortly so that I can get back to doing some real work.
We are heading up to Brisbane this weekend to see my family which I can't wait for. We are going fishing on Saturday up to Redcliffe which is just going to be great fun. I can't wait. Everyone except Mum and JT will be going, including Deb who has turned out to be remarkably good at fishing.
Anyway...I haven't been feeling very well lately and have taken today off to sleep and try to catchup with myself before I head off on the weekend. Hopefully whatever I have won't escalate and stop me getting on the plane.
